Quartering Wind is a home port, a notebook, a workshop, a rules engine, an ongoing argument with myself, and occasionally a place where things break in public.
I invest in US equities by rules rather than by mood, on the theory that my instincts are the least reliable instrument on the boat. In between, I build small things badly and ship them anyway. Seoul is the harbor.
The rules
Written down before they are needed, followed when they are inconvenient, and revised only in calm weather. Most of what gets published here is the reasoning behind them, or the evidence against them.
The workshop
Everything else. Sites, scripts, small tools built past the edge of my competence. Some of it works. Projects that outgrow this place get their own name and sail off.
